Bus Stop
By William Inge Performances October 2 - 4, 2015 The Union County Veterans Memorial Auditorium Beneficiary All proceeds benefited The Marysville Food Pantry: $1,231.35 In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a busload of passengers out of Kansas City take refuge at a small roadside diner until morning. Cherie, a nightclub singer, is in trouble. She's being pursued by "a young cowboy with all the romantic finesse of a rodeo bull." The stubborn cowhand is eager to toss her over his shoulder and carry her, kicking and screaming, all the way to Montana. The play explores the wide range of romantic relationships as others at the diner find romance to varying degrees in this 1955 romantic comedy-drama. |
